Shop at Whole Foods Today to Support Greenburgh Nature Center

Resident of Greenburgh Nature Center

On Wednesday, April 7 Whole Foods Market in White Plains will donate 5% of their net sales to the Greenburgh Nature Center (GNC). Whole Foods already partners with the GNC on the Center’s Sustainability Garden in Scarsdale, contributing plants and other materials. With these donations and assistance from Whole Foods Market volunteers, the GNC has plans to further expand the vegetable and herb garden, providing visitors with a close-up view of the organic growing process. The Sustainability Garden will be a place for both passive and participatory learning about growing food in a sustainable way, and serve as an adjunct to the Center’s sustainability programs.

The Greenburgh Nature Center is a 33-acre woodland preserve with trails, pond, gardens and outdoor animal exhibits, including a birds of prey aviary.  Indoor exhibits include a live animal museum, a greenhouse with botanical exhibits, and a gift shop.

The Greenburgh Nature Center is located at 99 Dromore Road, off Central Park Avenue, in Scarsdale, NY.  The grounds are open daily from dawn to dusk throughout the year, and indoor exhibits are open daily except Fridays and some holidays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekends. Visit greenburghnaturecenter.org for more information. Whole Foods Market is located at 110 Bloomingdale Road, in White Plains, NY and is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
