Tree Whispering with Dr. Jim Conroy at Omega Institute June 2011

Jim Conroy, The Tree Whisperer

The benefits of mindfully reconnecting with nature boost everyone’s wellbeing, according to experts in the field of healing and communicating with trees, plants, and other living things. Dr. Jim Conroy, aka “The Tree Whisperer,” and Basia Alexander, aka “Chief Listener,” suggest going deeper than just taking walks in the park. They advocate touching trees to intuitively receiving their personal and sacred messages.

From June 3 to 5, Conroy and Alexander will teach Tree Whispering at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck. Dr. Conroy, who holds a PhD in Plant Pathology from Purdue University, wants more people to consciously infuse Nature into their daily lives. He advises tree lovers to take meditative journeys into the inner dimensions of plants.  “Quietly hold a tree, expand awareness and engage senses to connect with its life force,” Conroy recommends. “Communicating with trees is good for people in body, mind and spirit. It also works both ways—people can heal sick trees.”

Conroy and Alexander also offer studies in the new discipline of Cooperative BioBalance: Partnering with Nature. Visit for more information.
